Nizam Ud Deen Usman

SEO Consultant, author and trainer

Muhammad Nizam Ud Deen Usman (Urdu: محمد نظام الدین عثمان; born 5 July 1987), known professionally as Nizam Ud Deen Usman and online as SEO Observer, is an SEO Consultant, content marketer, author and trainer based in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan.[1][3] He is the founder and lead SEO consultant of ORM Digital Solutions, a digital marketing firm formerly trading as ORM Advertisement.[3]

Nizam Ud Deen specialises in local SEO for service-area businesses, particularly in the North American home-services sector, and in Google Business Profile optimisation and reinstatement.[4][11] He is the author of The Local SEO Cosmos: The Ultimate Guide for Small Businesses and Marketers, published in January 2025.[5]

Alongside his consultancy he runs several educational initiatives, including the SEO Observer YouTube channel, the Nizam SEO Community, SEO Academy and SEO Knowledge Hub, and formerly served as a content and digital marketing trainer for Pakistan's National Freelance Training Program.[1][2][3] He was named among the Top 20 SEO Experts in Pakistan in a 2024 industry listing.[10]

Early life and education

Nizam Ud Deen was born on 5 July 1987 in Bahawalpur, a city in southern Punjab, Pakistan.[1] He began formal computer education in 2007, completing an intermediate diploma in I-COM, a computing-oriented stream of Pakistani intermediate education.[1] He subsequently earned a diploma in AutoCAD, graduating first in his cohort.[1]

He later studied at the University of Education, Lahore at its Multan campus, an institution at which he also went on to teach.[4][17]

His web development skills were largely self-taught. Working from online courses, he learned WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap and introductory PHP, a foundation he later applied to client work at his own agency.[3] He moved to Multan in 2014, which has since remained his home and the base of his professional activity.[1]

Career

Early work and teaching

Nizam Ud Deen's working life began in 2008 as an office assistant.[1] He later worked as an accountant on a monthly salary of Rs. 10,000 before moving into freelance work.[3] His first freelance commission, a landing page, earned Rs. 15,000 — a figure he has cited as the point at which independent work became viable for him.[3]

In parallel he taught, working as an AutoCAD trainer at an institute in Mureedke and later as an information technology and AutoCAD instructor at college level.[1] An early entrepreneurial attempt, an online business directory at the domain orm.com.pk, preceded his move into search marketing; the domain now hosts his agency.[1]

ORM Digital Solutions

Nizam Ud Deen founded ORM Digital Solutions, originally operating as ORM Advertisement, as a digital marketing and IT services firm headquartered in Multan.[3][16] In 2018 he opened a physical office alongside a software developer collaborator, expanding beyond solo freelance work.[1]

Consulting practice

Through his personal consultancy at nizamuddeen.com, Nizam Ud Deen provides on-page, technical and off-page SEO, SEO audits, local SEO, Google Business Profile reinstatement, keyword research, competitor analysis, content writing, penalty removal, e-commerce SEO and YouTube SEO, offered on a published tariff of fixed-scope packages and retainers.[4][15] He has also been associated with Roofer Quest Consultancy, a niche practice serving the roofing trade.[7]

His practice is oriented toward service-area businesses, with published work spanning appliance repair, carpet cleaning, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, electrical services, gutter and siding installation, bathroom and kitchen remodelling, water and fire damage restoration, mould remediation, pest control, garage door repair, self-storage and flooring.[4] He has stated that he serves clients across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and India.[4] An independent review site has described his specialism as local SEO for the roofing industry.[11]

Nizam Ud Deen publishes case studies reporting client outcomes, including an increase in search impressions for a local cleaning business from 11,100 to 182,000, year-on-year impression growth from 428,000 to 640,000 for another client, a 22.6% increase in purchases over thirty days for an e-commerce store, and a 2.33-fold improvement in click-through rate for a restaurant client.[2] These figures are self-reported and have not been independently audited.

He has also launched SEO War Room, a platform aimed at marketers and agencies.[3]

Handicrafts venture

Nizam Ud Deen diversified from digital services into handicrafts, building a business around traditional Multani artisanal products and applying his e-commerce and digital marketing experience to its distribution.[17] A 2023 profile in the Pakistani business publication Connected Pakistan reported that the venture was backed by an investment of Rs. 170 million and had reached an annual turnover of Rs. 240 million.[17] The same article cites a figure of Rs. 247 million elsewhere in its text; the discrepancy is unresolved, and neither figure has been independently verified.

Training and community work

Nizam Ud Deen studied at the University of Education, Lahore at its Multan campus, and taught there over the same period, completing four instructional batches.[4][17] In 2021 he served as a content and digital marketing trainer for the National Freelance Training Program, a government-backed freelancing initiative delivered through the same institution.[1][3] He has additionally been described as a trainer on DigiSkills, a Pakistani government-backed digital skills platform.[17]

He founded several educational platforms: the Nizam SEO Community, a discussion forum for practitioners; SEO Academy, a structured course offering; and SEO Knowledge Hub, a reference resource.[4][14] He has described the purpose of this work as building self-reliance among young Pakistani professionals, entrepreneurs and freelancers rather than generating consultancy leads.[3]

Writing and publications

Nizam Ud Deen is the author of The Local SEO Cosmos: The Ultimate Guide for Small Businesses and Marketers, released in a first edition on 12 January 2025 and distributed both as a direct PDF download from his website and as a Kindle edition.[5][6]

The book addresses website and Google Business Profile optimisation for local search, citation building, review acquisition, mobile SEO, local content creation, and analytics. Its chapters cover local ranking factors, common misconceptions about local SEO, and competitor analysis, and it uses checklists and diagrams alongside case studies.[5]

He has announced further titles in preparation on subjects outside search marketing, including works on Jannah in Islamic theology, the poet and philosopher Allama Iqbal, and YouTube monetisation.[1] He also maintains a technical blog covering SEO practice and publishes reference lists of citation directories by country.[4]

Approach and views

Nizam Ud Deen's stated professional focus is local and entity-oriented search optimisation for businesses whose customers are geographically bounded, rather than broad national or informational search.[4][11] His published material emphasises Google Business Profile management, local citation consistency and review generation as the primary levers for service-area businesses.[5]

A recurring theme in his public writing is educational access. He has framed his community and training work as a response to the difficulty of entering digital work from smaller Pakistani cities, and has published free instructional material — including course content he had previously sold — alongside his commercial services.[3][8][17] Summarising this outlook, he has said: "Generosity is a gift that keeps on giving. When we value and uplift others, the universe has a way of returning the favor, multiplying the blessings in our own lives."[17]

In a profile published by Connected Pakistan he has emphasised continuous learning, adaptable leadership and collaborative team culture as the basis of professional practice, and has argued for long-term strategic thinking over short-term tactics in digital marketing.[18]

Reception and recognition

Nizam Ud Deen was included in a 2024 listing of the Top 20 SEO Experts in Pakistan compiled by Falak Naz Soomro and published on LinkedIn.[10]

The analytics company Plerdy has listed him among SEO specialists in Pakistan, describing him as an expert in local SEO for the roofing industry who works with service businesses from Multan.[11] A separate industry roundup published by Digital Sohail credits him with more than seven years of experience and expertise spanning property, technology and health sectors.[12]

Media and online presence

Nizam Ud Deen publishes instructional video content on the SEO Observer YouTube channel.[8] He maintains profiles under the SEO Observer name across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit and Telegram, and an academic profile on Academia.edu.[9][13]

Personal life

Nizam Ud Deen has been married since 2010 and has four children — three daughters and one son.[1] He has lived in Multan since 2014.[1]

Outside his consultancy work he has advocated for the revival of Multani blue pottery, a traditional glazed ceramic craft associated with the city, an interest connected to his handicrafts business.[1][17] He is also the founder of Islamic Divine System, a religious-education project.[2]
